1. What type of information should I include in my release?
Stick to the basics and avoid hype. You'll be right on track if you can include the traditional "who, what, where, when, why, how".

2. How much Contact information should I include?
Include as much Contact information as you possibly can. Generally you should try to include an address, phone number, fax number, email address, and Web site address. It only increases your chances of getting some type of coverage when you make it easier to be Contacted. If the press release involves two or more parties, you must include Contact information for those parties.

3. What font face should I use?
We recommend using Arial 10 pt. or Courier 10pt.

4. How long should my release be?
We highly recommend that your release be kept to 1 page. A word count limit of 500 words is required. Remember that short and to the point is best. Additional charge of $100 per every 100 words will apply to your order if your press release is over 500 words long.

5. How are releases delivered?
All releases are delivered via email directly to the editor or person responsible for receiving or reviewing releases at each particular media outlet.

6. Can you target a specific region instead of a channel?
Yes, with our custom or local distribution options.

7. Do you guarantee that my release will get media coverage?
Because we have no control over what a particular media outlet deems "newsworthy" we cannot make any guarantees.

8. How do I know my release got delivered?
You will receive a confirmation via email shortly after your release has been sent.

9. Do you provide tracking information to let us know what coverage we have received?
Yes, we do provide an affordable online clipping service. You can view more detailed information on this service by clicking here. We also provide links to some very good offline and online services. You can find this information at: http://www.press-release-writing.com/tracking-press-release.htm

10. What kind of results can I expect?
Results vary so greatly that there is no way to give our clients any standard figures. Some clients find their phones ringing off the hook while others may not receive a single call. Remember, there are many variables that affect whether or not the media decides to pick up your story.

11. When will people start Contacting me?
Some media outlets may contact you within just a few minutes after your release is received and others may take weeks or even months before they respond. Keep in mind that there are many types of publications and they may range from daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly.

12. Are you just doing a bulk mailing?
No, all of our releases are delivered individually to media outlets.

13. Is delivering to so many outlets considered SPAM?
Absolutely not, all of the media outlets on our distribution list have asked to subscribe to our service and are accustomed to receiving our releases on a regular basis.

14. Do you distribute worldwide?
Yes. We have a large international distribution list. Please Contact us for more information on media outlets and pricing.

15. How can you distribute releases so inexpensively?
PRW has worked extremely hard to develop our existing database and we have cut all possible costs to keep pricing at a minimum.

16. Should I send multiple releases for a single event?
If you have different releases with different headlines and content then this might be something you might want to consider. However, we do not recommend sending the same release over and over.

17. Do you ever run any specials or sales?
From time to time we may reduce pricing. If you are subscribed to our free newsletter you will not only receive valuable writing tips but also special promotional codes that will save you money on the distribution of your press release. 21. Will I be able to proof my release before it is distributed?

The "-30-" is the traditional journalistic closing which probably came to be during the Civil War when telegraphers tapped "XXX" at the end of a transmission, which is the Roman numeral for 30.
